Engineered in Unreal Engine 5
Every technical decision was made to serve one goal: the most photorealistic automotive configurator experience possible, running in real time.
Unreal Engine 5
Built entirely in UE5 — Lumen global illumination, Nanite geometry, and real-time ray tracing deliver cinema-quality output.
Cinematic Environments
Three bespoke settings: a dense forest, an aircraft hangar, and a minimalist showroom — each designed to flatter the XM's silhouette.
Live Colour Switching
Full BMW XM colour palette switchable in real time — paint, wheels, and interior trim update instantly without any reload.
Lumen Lighting
UE5 Lumen provides fully dynamic global illumination that reacts correctly to every environment with zero baked lightmaps.
3ds Max Modelling
Production-accuracy mesh built in Autodesk 3ds Max — every panel, vent, badge, and wheel modelled from BMW reference data.
Cinematic Sequences
Director-led camera animations in UE5 Sequencer guide the viewer through exterior and interior highlights — cinematic quality, real-time speed.
“The BMW XM is a statement vehicle. It demanded a configurator experience that matched its ambition — cinematic, immersive, and technically flawless.”
